Tasting Notes

Harvested from carefully selected grapes grown in vineyards located in Elciego and surrounding villages within the Rioja Alavesa region. These vines are planted in limestone soils, a key factor in the wine's quality.

Aging: This wine is matured in oak barrels for 24 months and then spends at least another year in the bottle.

Appearance: Bright ruby red with an orange hue.

Nose: Its intense and complex aroma combines oak nuances (vanilla, herbs, spices, and mountain notes) with a fruity aroma typical of the Tempranillo variety in our region.

Palate: On the palate, it's well-balanced, very elegant, with a round structure.

Pairing: This wine is ideal with roasts and grilled meats, especially beef and lamb chops. It's excellent with smoked cheeses and also traditional oily fish recipes, such as "Bacalao a la Bilbaína" (cod Bilbao style) with a red pepper sauce. At the same time, it's perfect with spicy Far Eastern and exotic cuisines.
